Most GSS members are also members of the local cave rescue group (GCRG) and this gallery shows some of those members at a large cave rescue at Otter Hole (near Chepstow) in 2003.

An experienced caver was assisting a film crew inside the cave and took an unfortunate fall from a five-foot climb near the  end of the cave. This resulted in a very painful pelvis injury and full-scale rescue callout.
