I have managed to set up a CO2 sensor in conjunction with an Arduino Mini Pro with the objective of logging CO2 levels in cave using a Sensiron SCD30 sensor. There is a problem in that it is a bit heavy on power consumption so I am trying to modify the coding of the Arduino to incorporate a powering down of the sensor between sampling. By switching the sensor off for some minutes between sampling I am hoping to gain an extension in battery life from a week or so to several months. I have got to the stage of hitting a brick wall in modifying the coding so I am appealing for some help to achieve the objective.
